Valentine Card

Soon it will be Valentine’s Day and here is another simple but effective card for you to make. As space is limited, I have had to be brief in my instructions, but should you have any difficulty, please call in to Hecho a Mano and we will try to help you. Incidentally this card could just as easily be a Birthday Card made with different colours.

You will need the following:-

  • A5 Red glossy card folded to make an A6 card.

  • Checkered Hearts rubber stamp

  • Piece of white card 7 x 11 cm.

  • A scrap of white card big enough to stamp the image twice more.

  • Red Marvy Matchable ink pad.

  • A piece of gold card 8 x 12cm plus scrap to punch out two daisies.

  • Small brad

  • A small and medium daisy punch.

  • A “Happy Valentine” sticker

  • Corner rounder

  • Four decorative peel-off corners.

  • 1mm 3D foam pads

  1. Round the corners of the measured white and gold card with the corner punch.

  2. Stamp the image with the red ink onto the middle of the 7x11cm white card.

  3. Stamp twice again on the scrap of white card.

  4. With the second image, cut out the heart and solid box plus the small heart in the bottom left to decoupage the image only.

  5. Next punch out the two daisies from the spare gold card.

  6. Make a small hole with a darning needle or similar in the centre of the daisy to push the brad through and attach the punched daisy to the daisy at the top of the image.

  7. Then using 1mm sticky foam pads, layer up the cut out images lining them up with the first stamped image on the white card, to make a decoupage effect.

  8. Stick the words on the bottom right hand corner and a decorative corner in each of the four corners of the card.

I added two little red hearts from my craft box to finish the design.
