Springtime Card
This relatively easy card was made in one of our recent workshops. It has a lovely sentiment and is especially suitable for someone who may be going through a difficult time.

You will need the following:-
|
- Cut a piece of green card 6 x 14cm cutting each long side with fancy scissors. Layer onto gold card 7 x 14cm.
- Attach the ribbon down the centre, securing the ends over the back of the card.
- Attach the whole piece with glue towards the hinge side of the card leaving a border of about 1.5 cm. Decorate with border stickers as shown.
- Place two corners on the right top and bottom of the card.
- Print or write the message (May the Joy of Spring be with you throughout the year) on the white paper. Trim to a rectangle about 7 x 6cm using fancy scissors.
- Layer the printed paper onto green card 8 x 7cm
- Layer this onto gold card 9 x 8 cm.
- Attach this piece partly over the ribbon piece towards the top of the card with the 2mm foam pads.
- Place the butterfly sticker onto some coloured vellum and cut out carefully. (Top tip: carefully lift the butterfly’s antennae from the vellum and cut straight across underneath.)
- Fold up each side of the butterfly’s body and curl the wings carefully around a crochet hook to give lift.
- Attach to the card with a small piece of double-sided tape on the body and place a 2mm pad underneath the middle of each wing.
Just a little effort needed to make a card that will brighten someone’s day!
