Let It Snow
Well, temperatures are soaring and we have had some of the hottest weather since Robin and I have been in Spain (over 8 years). We have found it difficult to sleep and Robin’s philosophy is to think cool, so with that in mind we thought we would feature a Christmas Card. We have recently had a Christmas Card Workshop and had great fun making some cards in the middle of summer. We have designed this card complete with snowman, in blue, to help us all think cool!

You will need the following:-
|
-
Place the short end of the gingham card against the butt bar of the folding board, score on line 4 and fold.
-
Place the long side of the vellum against the butt bar, score line 1 and fold. Using double sided tap attach the vellum to the card tucking the short folded side around the fold. (This will allow some of the blue gingham card to show at the bottom of the card.)
-
Next stick the silver card in the middle of the vellum as shown.
-
Using the white card, stamp and emboss the snowman with black pigment ink and clear powder.
-
Stamp the greeting with the blue dye ink on the remaining white card.
-
Paint the snowman as shown. I painted the whole snowman white then dipped the tip of my water brush into the blue paint and just ran it down each side of the snowman. This gives it depth and makes the snowman appear round.
-
Cut out the snowman and the greeting as shown, then using Collall glue mount them onto the blue paper.
-
Using a narrow double sided tape attach the ric-rac across the bottom as shown. Trim any that overhangs flush with the card.
-
Attach the greeting with 1mm double sided pads and the snowman with 2mm double sided pads.
-
Using the glue pen, trace over the words and scribble on the snow underneath the snowman.
-
Sprinkle the glitter onto the words and underneath the snowman. The glitter will also stick to any uncovered tape underneath the ric-rac which just adds to the sparkle of the card.
Hey presto, you’re done. This is an easy and quick card to make and you can use any greeting that you have.
