Indalo Man

This week’s card is made with the aid of the new Dream Weaver Memory Mists. There are several different colours and they are all named after drinks! They come complete with a liquid chalk ink pad in a complementary colour. For anyone uncertain of the origins of the symbol of the Indalo Man, it was a cave painting found in Velez Blanco and the symbol is alleged to bring good luck, good health, fertility etc (apparently it knows what you need) to anyone that receives it as a gift so makes an excellent card to send to anyone.

You will need the following:-

  • an A6 white card

  • a dragonfly punch

  • piece of scrap card

  • Memory Mist (Orange Juice)

  • some straight gold border edges, an Indalo Man and Good Luck peel-offs

  • some spare card to make a tag shape

  • double sided foam pads

  • a small length of ribbon

  • an old washing up bowl

  1. Punch out a dragonfly shape in the scrap card.

  2. Put the main card into the bowl and spray according to the instructions on the Memory Mist. The effect is meant to be uneven and splattered looking.

  3. Spray the tag shape in the same way.

  4. Mask off the front of the card leaving a small edge and spray again.

  5. Place the dragonfly mask randomly on the card and spray through the shape to darken the image. (Watch point – be careful to mask off any parts of the card that you don’t want to darken.)

  6. Stick the straight peel off’s around the tag and punch a hole in it to attach the ribbon.

  7. Stick the Indalo Man onto the tag along with the Good Luck words.

  8. Attach the tag to the front of the card at an angle with the foam pads.
