Flower Posie Card

Here’s a pretty card that any lady would be pleased to receive.

You will need: -

  • Piece of A4 Card

  • Piece of patterned vellum big enough to wrap half way round the card.

  • Piece of jeweled silver card 8 x 7cm approx

  • Silver oval sticker

  • Silver peel-off greeting e.g. “Happy Birthday”

  • Silver butterfly sticker

  • Border-edge silver sticker

  • Some small paper flowers

  • Silicone glue

  • Corner rounder

  • Double sided tape or glue

  • 1mm sticky foam pads

  1. Cut and fold A4 card to make a DL card (2/3rds of A4).

  2. On the remaining piece of card, place your frame sticker and cut to suit approximately 7cm x 6cm for the small oval frame I chose.

  3. Round the corners with the corner rounder and then stick this piece onto the piece of jeweled silver card and cut to make a 1/2cm border all round. Round the corners of this piece also.

  4. Put a generous amount of silicone glue in the centre of your frame. Cut to size the wires on the flowers and push them into the silicone and leave to dry (about 20 mins)

  5. Attach the vellum using a thin piece of double sided tape or glue to the centre of the card. Fold the remainder around the edge and attach to the back of the card.

  6. Stick the border edge along the vellum edge on the front of the card to neaten.

  7. Attach the flower piece to the top half of the card with 1mm sticky pads.

  8. Stick the butterfly sticker onto a piece of vellum or card, cut out and curl wings by rolling them round a paint brush handle. Attach to the card by the body only allowing the wings to curl and place a 1mm foam pad underneath the wings to keep lifted.

  9. Complete by adding a peel-off greeting and drawing a dotted line for the butterfly’s flight path.
