4 Square Flower Card
This card is made by using ordinary household bleach. The bleach with detergent doesn’t work well, the toilet cleaning one is better. As this technique works better on some card than others, it is best to first try it out on a small piece of the card you intend using. If you bleach the entire colour out (and it does take a little time to develop) you can re-colour once dry with felt tips pens or paints, thus you can achieve a yellow flower for instance on a dark blue card which is pretty impossible normally. Try experimenting with watered down bleach to achieve a more subtle effect. For this card I haven’t re-coloured it but left it a pale orange where I’ve bleached. GOOD LUCK!

You will need:-
|
-
Stamp and emboss the image.
-
Cut carefully around the frame leaving a small border
-
Pour a small amount of bleach into an eggcup or similar and using a cotton bud (do not use a paint brush as it will make all the hairs fall out) paint the flowers. (Best to wear old clothes or an apron for this.) This should bleach out the colour although you may have to leave it to dry to get the full effect.
-
Cut the piece of speckled paper slightly larger than the stamped image and use a corner punch to add interest. Stick this to your card near the top.
-
Put the double sided pads on the back of the flowers image and place centrally on top of the speckled piece.
-
Stick the tag shape onto a piece of speckled paper and cut around it leaving a small border.
-
Punch a hole and thread the raffia through it to complete the tag.
-
Fix to your card with double sided sticky pads at an angle as shown.
-
If you like you can round the corners of your card.
